Jasmine Umana is an Entertainment and Business Law Attorney and the founder and managing partner for J. Umana Law, based in Los Angeles, CA. She has an extensive background in entertainment and business law having worked for Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), one of the largest entertainment companies in the world.
Prior to opening her own law firm, Attorney Umana spent time working in the Law Offices of Heather
Beverly where she assisted some of the most respected music moguls in entertainment
and learned the ins and outs of the music business.
Today, Attorney Umana represents a variety of entrepreneurs, influencers, artists, etc. She licenses music with major corporations such as Apple, ABC, FOX, NBC, Target, Macy’s and appears in court regularly. Her firm is responsible for representing labels such as C4 Music Group as well as Tha Lights Global (the label responsible for breaking Lil Pump) where Attorney Umana assisted with the signing of new up and coming artist Kova. Attorney Umana is quoted saying, “She enjoys being an advocate for people and bridging the gap that often exists between clients and attorneys.”
In addition to her firm, Attorney Umana is a public speaker and has been featured on various panels. She serves as an Advisor on the board for Black and African American Healthcare Scholars and Of Counsel for Donahoe Young & Williams. She is currently a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, California Society of Entertainment Lawyers, and the Black Women Lawyers Association.
When Attorney Umana is not serving clients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
